How to change a drawing contrast

When you take a photo of a traditional drawing, or when you scan it, it is possible that there is a noticeable loss of dark tones. There are probably many reasons for that, and it is possibly a feature of scanners and cameras not a defect. Regardless of why they end up losing the dark tones, it takes part of the beauty of most traditional pencil drawings. Luckily, there are ways to bring those darker tones back.

One of these ways being using an image editor to manipulate the contrast of the drawing. For this tutorial I will be using the GNU Not Unix Image Manipulation Program, also known as GIMP. Which is free and open source. However, it is important to note that manipulating contrast is one of the most basic features in photo manipulation software. You can use this tutorial to achieve the same result using Adobe Photoshop for example.

Little Fighter 2

I have played Little Fighter 2 before, and now I just felt like playing it again and wow... it is so difficult and fun and all sorts of awesome. I have never been into fighting games, really. The commands are always a pain to learn. There are too few of them in the PC platform, and only a very few of those are actually good. But, I love LF2.

Basically, the game is about choosing a character and punching everyone in the face until their HP goes to zero. There are versus, battle, championship and stage modes.

Is Haru really that bad?

Today I watched Accel World episode #18, which didn't have Haruyuki Arita in it. Now, I know Haru sucks as a protagonist, but making an entire episode without the protagonist is just bad.

I mean, "Kuroyukihime" (aka Black Lotus) has got what it takes to star the anime, everything it takes to star that anime actually. But making an entire episode, and by the way quite possibly two, starring her can only mean the staff knows Haru isn't cutting the mustard as protagonist.

Zatch Bell huge TV ad

Today I finished watching all the 150 episodes of Konjiki no Gash Bell (aka Zatch Bell). For those who don't know what Zatch Bell is, it is an comedy anime TV ad.
Yes. A TV ad.

Just like other manga adaptations such as D.Gray-man and Pandora Hearts, Konjiki no Gash Bell is, actually, an huge TV ad for the manga. That means the end of the anime is not the end of the manga. It's just an end for the anime. An wrapped up end that is always awful, because even gift wrappers don't look as good as a sealed gift box.
